NOT AN ALL OUT CURE FOR BV, BUT FOLIC ACID IS Aug 30, 2010
If you are getting this for BV, this will lessen it, but not cure it completely. BV is the most embarrassing, frustrating and depressing thing to happen to a woman, but the steps below should eliminate it completely.

1. Take 800mg Folic Acid 1x a day. (This should have an immediate effect--within 24-48 hours.
2. If above doesn't completely eliminate it, add 2 Fem-Dophilus capsules 2x a day to the routine. (It needs to be refrigerated so buy at Amazon (best price for 60 capsules) during Spring/Fall/Winger, and during summer, get it at Sprouts or other natural grocery store in their vitamin refrigerated area.)
3. If the combination above doesn't eliminate it completely, add to the routine, the following--douche with Hydrogen/Peroxide and water (2 parts to 1 part) 1x a week.

Sorry, after suffering from a nasty yeast infection, which I did manage with a prescription. I thought that I would try this product. While waiting for delivery, I bought Pearls supplements and started taking those. Wow, did I feel better in just a few days. Less bloating and gas, no more constipation. Upon receiving Fem-Dophilus, I stopped with the Pearls and started taking those.
After a few days, I was once again constipated and bloated. I have since stopped with Fem and went back to Pearls. I gave Fem away to my mother. I would rather take something that works.
Not a thumbs up from me guys, sorry.
What works for some, may not work for all. Just wish I would have tried the Pearls before ordering and wasting my money. Pearls are less expensive, too.

All I can say is this product works. I have had recurrent yeast infections for 6 months and tried everything, from prescription creams to Diflucan and even some home remedies like garlic and yogurt. None of these worked, the infections kept coming back as soon as the meds were gone. I read the reviews and decided to order this product, even though it needs to be kept cold. I live overseas (japan), so there was no way it was kept refrigerated all the way here. When it arrived, I put it in the fridge and started taking 2-4 pills a day for the first week, then went down to one a day eventually. It has been over a month and I have had no more infections!! The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that I was not given the option to ship my package with ice packs, which would have increased the potency of the probiotics. Nonetheless, it works, no question about it!

I have been suffering from chronic yeast infections/BV for about a year now and this product is the only thing that has worked for me. I have been to the doctor about 5 times now and all they did was put me on more diflucan and metrogel even though it was obviously not working. I even tried changing my diet, Rephresh inserts, which did not work for me. I was literally at my wits end when I came across this product and I could not ignore all of the positive reviews. I have been taking fem dophilus for over a week now 2 pills a day and I noticed a difference within the first 5 days. I can not praise this product enough! FYI please make sure to keep it refridgerated and if ordering online make sure to get quick delivery.
